We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and reliable Playworkers to join our friendly after school and holiday club team on a casual basis. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s development through play, creativity, and positive engagement in a safe and inclusive environment.

As a Playworker, you will help to plan and deliver fun, stimulating activities, build strong relationships with children and families, and contribute to a welcoming setting where every child feels valued and supported. About the Role:

  • Support daily running of the club and deliver engaging play activities
  • Ensure children’s safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
  • Assist with safe collection/handover and maintain a clean environment
  • Prepare healthy snacks and support basic admin tasks
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and work as part of the school team

About you:

  • Level 2 qualification in Playwork (defined as full and relevant by the Teaching Agency to work in an early years setting) or a commitment to obtain the same, or Level 2 early years/childcare qualification AND evidence of commitment to achieve the above (or a level 3 qualification in Playwork)
  • Training in safeguarding children at ‘generalist' level, as defined by the Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board, within past three years, or a commitment to complete this within 3 months of recruitment
  • Current appropriate first aid certificate or evidence of commitment to achieve this within 3 months of recruitment
  • Food safety/hygiene qualification at Level 2 or above
  • Experience of working with children in any setting
  • Good communication skills
