At FitzRoy Gressenhall, we support four older gentlemen with learning disabilities and physical disabilities in a peaceful, homely bungalow surrounded by the Norfolk countryside. Their personalities shine through in everything they do, from enjoying countryside drives and birdwatching to relaxing with a café lunch or a trip to the pub.
We're looking for an experienced, caring and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team and help lead the delivery of outstanding person-centred support.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll lead by example while supporting people to live independent, fulfilling lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting people with personal care, medication, meals and daily living activities
- Promoting independence, choice and dignity in everything you do
- Helping develop and review support plans and risk assessments
- Leading shifts and providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Administering and recording medication in line with policies and procedures
- Supporting people to access the community, attend appointments and enjoy social activities
- Driving FitzRoy's accessible vehicles for outings and appointments
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with care standards
- Working closely with families, health professionals and the wider team
- Supporting new colleagues through induction and on-the-job coaching
What You'll Need
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities or complex support needs
- A positive, person-centred approach and passion for delivering high-quality care
- Confidence leading shifts and supporting colleagues
- Good communication, organisational and record-keeping skills
- A full UK manual driving licence
- Your own reliable transport, as the service is in a rural location with limited public transport links
- Flexibility to work a rota including early, late and weekend shifts
