Fitzroy is recruiting day and night support workers for our supported living service in Southsea, Hampshire. We are entering an exciting period of growth and expansion, and there has never been a better time to join us. You will be supporting thirteen adults with learning disabilities with all aspects of daily life, from personal care and medication administration to participation in in‑house and community activities. Whether you are currently working in social care or looking to start a career, we provide full paid comprehensive training. We’re looking for individuals who are kind, caring, patient and resilient with a passion to make a difference.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Day shift: 37.5 hours (or 15 hours weekends) – £11.85 per hour weekdays and £13.03 weekends.
  • Waking Nights: 37.5 hours – £12.21 per hour weekdays and £13.43 weekends.
  • Overtime shifts pay + £2.50.
  • Time and a half or double time for public holidays.
  • 30 days holiday when you start.

What a Support Worker Does:

  • Support everyone differently to their individual needs.
  • Be actively involved in a range of people’s interests and activities.
  • Support and encourage with personal care, such as showers and baths.

Hours:

A full‑time contract is 37.5 hours (5 shifts a week). The earliest start is from 7 am and the latest finish is until 10 pm. Waking Nights are from 9 pm to 7 am. Weekend working is essential and will be on a rotating basis; when you work a weekend you will have the time off in the week.
