Fitzpatrick Referrals is looking to expand its growing team of Veterinary Care Assistants. We are located at Halfway Lane, Eashing Godalming Surrey GU7 2QQ GB.
Overview
The Veterinary Care Assistant plays a critical role in the care of patients, working alongside and supporting surgeons, nurses, and other care assistants.
Responsibilities
- Assist nurses and clinicians with patient care in wards, both pre‑ and post‑operatively
- Provide support in surgical procedures as needed
- Communicate effectively within the team and with patients’ owners
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for animal patients
- Use initiative and work independently when required
Qualifications
- Experience working with animals, volunteering, or an animal management certificate is desirable
- Commitment to the care and welfare of patients
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Capacity for independent work and use of initiative
