We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join our surgical internship programme with a start date of summer 2026.
We are a world‑renowned independent ortho‑neuro specialist referral centre. Our established surgical internship provides a fixed one‑year position, supervised by orthopaedic surgery and anaesthesia specialists. Interns help in surgery, patient work‑ups, and inpatient care, and may participate in advanced orthopaedic and neurosurgical procedures unique to our hospital. Weekly seminars, journal clubs, and research support form part of the curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Assist in routine and advanced orthopaedic surgery
- Prepare patients and support specialist teams
- Provide world‑class inpatient care
- Participate in seminars, journal clubs, and research activities
- Contribute to the day‑to‑day running of the clinic
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Prior experience in small animal practice or internship is an advantage; recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS)
- Existing right to work in the UK or eligibility to obtain it without a Skilled Worker Visa (we do not sponsor visas)
Benefits
Salary: £42,240 per annum. The remuneration package includes RCVS registration, VDS membership, funded CPD, pension scheme and an employee assistance programme. Off‑site shared accommodation is available.
