We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon to join our surgical internship programme with a start date of summer 2026. You must be dedicated to practising the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care, and committed to furthering your career through improving your knowledge base and technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of specialists in orthopaedic surgery and anaesthesia.
  • Assist in surgery and help work up patients on behalf of the specialist team.
  • Provide world‑class inpatient care.
  • Participate in weekly seminars and journal clubs.
  • Support and encourage preparation and publication of scientific research during the internship.
  • Engage in advanced orthopaedic and neurosurgical procedures, some of which are unique to our hospital.

Qualifications

  • Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
  • Existing right to work in the UK or eligibility to obtain the right to work without a Skilled Worker Visa (no visa sponsorship).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Previous experience in small animal practice or an internship is an advantage; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
