Fitzpatrick Referrals is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our anaesthesia team at our hospital in Eashing, near Godalming in Surrey. You will provide support to our nursing and veterinary teams with all aspects of anaesthesia, from creating surgical anaesthesia plans to supporting during surgery and recovery. You will be part of the anaesthesia team comprising an anaesthetist and a team of anaesthesia nurses, including a senior anaesthesia nurse. The anaesthesia team works collaboratively with the nursing team, patient care assistants, interns, vets and other colleagues to meet the needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high level of care to patients through the entire anaesthesia/surgical/diagnostic process.
- Assist with creating surgical anaesthesia plans and support during surgery and recovery.
- Support the anaesthesia team and contribute to training and integration of new staff as required, including regular CPR and crash training.
- Collaborate with the nursing team, interns, vets and colleagues to meet patient needs.
Qualifications & Experience
Some experience in referral nursing is required. It is not necessary to have already started or completed an anaesthesia certificate.
