Location: This is a hybrid role where you'll be based from home with some travel for meetings. Candidates ideally will be based within reasonable travelling distance to the South East or South West of England.

The role: As Head of Talent and People Solutions, you'll be accountable for the quality, performance, reputation and commercial success of Fitzgerald's Talent and Culture service. This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role. You'll balance strategic ownership of the function with leading complex client work, developing specialist capability, and delivering commercially sound, values‑led outcomes for clients. You'll lead and grow our Talent and Culture service, bringing together talent strategy, resourcing, reward, learning and organisational development, and people technology to help clients solve complex people and business challenges. You'll work closely with our People Services Director (Specialist Expertise) and partner seamlessly with Employee Relations and People Partnering colleagues — ensuring clients receive joined‑up, practical and impactful people solutions.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and growing the Talent and Culture service
- Owning the strategy, positioning and growth of Fitzgerald's Talent and Culture service
- Shaping and evolving our offer across talent, reward, learning and organisational development, and people technology
- Ensuring our services remain commercially strong, relevant and impactful for clients
- Leading senior client relationships and delivery
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, Executive teams and Boards
- Leading high‑value and complex client engagements and helping organisations solve workforce, leadership and culture challenges
- Maintaining oversight of delivery quality and client outcomes across the function
- Leading the Talent and Resourcing function
- Leading and developing the Talent Strategy and Resourcing function
- Supporting and coaching the Talent Strategy and Resourcing Manager
- Ensuring recruitment and workforce solutions are commercially effective and deliver strong outcomes for clients
- Continuing to strengthen the capability, consistency and reputation of the talent offer
- Driving growth
- Growing revenue, profitability and client relationships through exceptional delivery
- Leading conversations with prospective and existing clients to understand their challenges and shape commercially relevant solutions
- Developing proposals, scopes of work and service offerings that create value for clients and support sustainable growth
- Building and managing a high‑quality network of specialists and associates
- Developing capability across the function and contributing to Fitzgerald's wider growth plans
About you: You’re a commercially minded people leader who combines specialist expertise with a broad understanding of how talent, culture and people solutions come together to help organisations succeed. You’ll bring:
- Significant experience leading and delivering work in at least one specialist area such as learning and organisational development, reward, talent or people technology
- Broad understanding of how specialist people solutions connect together to solve wider business challenges
- Experience operating in a commercially accountable, client‑facing leadership role
- Experience growing services, revenue or client solutions within a consultancy or professional services environment
- Confidence leading senior client relationships and influencing at Executive or Board level
- Experience building or managing associate, contractor or specialist delivery models
- Strong commercial acumen, including scoping, pricing and delivering profitable work
- Experience balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on delivery
You’ll also be:

CIPD Level 7, an OD/HR qualification, or equivalent experience is also desirable. You’ll ideally need to be based in the South East or South West of England, hold a UK driving licence and be happy to travel occasionally as part of the role.
