FitXR is building the future of fitness where virtual and augmented reality meet AI-native wearables. We’re for the misfits - people who never clicked with traditional fitness spaces but still want to feel good, move more and have fun doing it.
This role exists to remove friction, the kind that slows teams down, clutters leaders’ heads and turns simple things into long threads. We’re a fully-remote team operating at speed and with high autonomy. You’ll sit right at the centre of the business, working closely with our Chief of Staff and directly supporting our senior leadership team. This is not a strategy role. It is a role for someone who takes pride in execution, accuracy and building systems that just work.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
- Create serious leverage for our Senior Leadership Team by owning work that would otherwise drag them deep into the weeds.
- Focused research and industry mapping so decisions happen faster and with fewer “let’s circle back” moments.
- Own and improve the operational systems that keep the company alive - onboarding, offboarding, documentation, product logistics, tooling, workflows…
- Be the first line of support for operational requests across the team, taking things end-to-end, spotting inefficiencies and fixing what’s broken (or just about held together with tape).
- Use AI and automation to aggressively reduce manual work, speed up workflows and improve quality.
You’ll Do Well In This Role If You…
- Have at least 1 year of experience in an ops role at a Seed or Series A startup.
- Have worked in a fully-remote, global team.
- Enjoy building systems, fixing broken processes and creating leverage for others.
- Are AI-native: you instinctively look for ways not to do the same work twice and are already using AI tools daily to draft, research, summarise, automate and unblock work.
- Have had real exposure to: People operations - reviews, policies, documentation; General operations and logistics; How product and engineering teams actually ship.
- Are low ego: you’re not offended by calendar management, travel booking or admin work.
- Can take an unclear task, ask a few sharp clarifying questions and deliver a strong first version.
This Role Is Not For You If You…
- Can’t align your working hours with the UK timezone.
- Want a strategy, fundraising or ‘founder shadow’ role.
- Get energy primarily from slide decks, planning or abstract thinking.
- Don’t enjoy the messy, detailed and sometimes unglamorous parts of ops work.
- Need constant direction to get work over the line.
- Are coming from a large, highly-structured company.
This role rewards ownership. If you want rails everywhere, it won’t be fun.
Growth & Trajectory
At FitXR, growth comes from doing the fundamentals exceptionally well and we see this role expanding into broader operational ownership and Founder’s Office and Chief of Staff-type responsibilities.
