About the job
We are looking for two self‑employed Level 3 Personal Training Tutor and Assessors to provide tutoring, assessment and learner support services. This is a contract for services. The successful candidates will be engaged to support the delivery and assessment of Level 3 Personal Training qualifications, including tutor‑led delivery, learner communication, assessment activity, feedback, paperwork and practical‑based events. Services will be provided primarily from our office in Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. Contractors will also be required to attend scheduled learner delivery, assessment activity, team coordination, quality assurance activity and practical‑based events as agreed. Some travel may be required for practical‑based events.
Main Services
- Delivering engaging tutor‑led sessions for Level 3 Personal Training learners
- Supporting learners throughout their qualification journey
- Communicating professionally and clearly with learners
- Assessing learner work and providing detailed, constructive feedback
- Completing accurate learner records, assessment paperwork and related documentation
- Supporting practical‑based delivery and assessment events where required
- Working in line with awarding organisation requirements, internal quality assurance processes, safeguarding expectations and data protection requirements
- Liaising with the wider team to support effective learner progress and course delivery
You must have:
- Knowledge and experience of working within the fitness industry
- Strong presentation skills and confidence delivering tutor‑led sessions
- Strong written English, with the ability to complete detailed and well‑phrased paperwork
- Excellent organisational skills
- A professional, approachable and learner‑focused manner
- The ability to work well with others
- The ability to manage and take ownership of their own workload
- An adaptable, enthusiastic and self‑motivated approach
Beneficial but not required:
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
Applicants who are successful but do not currently hold the assessor or teaching qualification will be up‑skilled through internal training.
Please, note: This is a self‑employed contractor opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own tax, National Insurance and any other relevant insurance. You will be required to invoice for services provided in line with the agreed contract terms.
