CEO Advisory Lead, Operational Excellence

CEO Advisory Lead, Operational Excellence

Full-Time On-site
F

This is a senior advisory opportunity for an experienced operational, transformation, or executive-advisory professional who can help a growing organisation strengthen operational performance and improve the quality of leadership decision-making.

You will work closely with the CEO, executive stakeholders, and relevant functional leaders to assess priority operational challenges, identify practical improvement opportunities, and support more disciplined execution across the business.

It is a senior advisory role supporting the CEO on operational-excellence priorities. The role does not itself confer line-management authority, budget authority, or delegated executive decision-making authority unless expressly confirmed by the employer.

The Stakeholder Problem You’ll Help Solve

As organisations grow, strategic ambition can outpace operating discipline. Leaders may need clearer performance insight, stronger cross-functional coordination, more effective operating rhythms, and practical support to turn priorities into measurable action.

In this role, you will help the CEO and executive team understand operational issues, evaluate trade-offs, improve visibility of delivery risks, and progress agreed improvement initiatives. Your work will help senior stakeholders move from discussion to aligned execution.

Why Your Background Matters

Your experience will be valuable if you have worked in operational excellence, business transformation, strategy execution, continuous improvement, consulting, or senior operating roles.

You will bring the credibility to engage senior decision-makers, the judgement to handle sensitive business issues professionally, and the ability to translate complex operational information into practical recommendations.

Relevant backgrounds may include senior operational leadership, transformation delivery, business performance, executive advisory, strategy implementation, process improvement, or management consulting. Equivalent experience demonstrating operational impact and senior stakeholder influence will also be considered.

What You’ll Be Trusted To Do

  • Advise the CEO and relevant executive stakeholders on operational-excellence priorities, risks, trade-offs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Diagnose operational-performance issues using qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Develop concise recommendations, decision papers, presentations, and implementation roadmaps for senior audiences.
  • Support the design, monitoring, and reporting of operational KPIs, performance reviews, and improvement plans.
  • Coordinate agreed cross-functional workstreams, maintaining visibility of actions, dependencies, risks, decisions, and milestones.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving with functional and operational leaders.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce operational friction, and strengthen execution discipline.
  • Support leadership teams in improving collaboration, decision-making, and alignment around agreed priorities.
  • Monitor progress against agreed initiatives and elevate material delivery risks through appropriate governance channels.
  • Build trusted working relationships with executive stakeholders, operational leaders, and subject-matter experts.

Who Benefits From Your Work

Your work will directly support the CEO, executive leadership team, and functional leaders responsible for implementation. It will also benefit the wider organisation by improving the operating rhythms, performance visibility, cross-functional coordination, and execution discipline needed to support sustainable growth.

What Success Looks Like

Success may include:

  • clearer, evidence-based advice for priority operational decisions;
  • stronger visibility of operational performance, risks, and delivery dependencies;
  • agreed improvement initiatives with clear outcomes, owners, milestones, and measures;
  • better executive and cross-functional alignment on key priorities;
  • practical process and operating improvements that can be sustained; and
  • more disciplined translation of strategic priorities into day-to-day execution.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience in operational excellence, business transformation, continuous improvement, strategy execution, consulting, or a comparable senior operational advisory role.
  • Experience working with senior executives and translating complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability, including confidence interpreting operational and performance data.
  • Experience developing executive-level materials, business cases, operating reviews, implementation plans, or transformation roadmaps.
  • Strong stakeholder-management, facilitation, influencing, and written communication skills.
  • Sound business judgement, discretion, and a practical delivery-focused approach.
  • Experience working across complex or cross-functional environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced study or relevant professional qualifications are welcome but not essential.

Experience That Would Be Especially Valuable

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be valuable:

  • operational excellence and continuous improvement;
  • business operations or performance leadership;
  • transformation, strategic planning, and strategy execution;
  • executive coaching, mentoring, or leadership-development support;
  • operating-model or process-improvement work;
  • finance, HR, risk, or compliance-adjacent operational environments;
  • technology, professional services, banking, or other complex and scaling organisations; and
  • relevant reporting, analytics, project-management, or process-mapping tools.

Equivalent experience will be considered where it demonstrates executive credibility, operational judgement, stakeholder influence, and measurable improvement outcomes.

What Makes This Opportunity Attractive

  • Direct exposure to the CEO and executive leadership team on high-priority operational questions.
  • A rare opportunity to combine executive-level advisory work with practical operational-improvement activity.
  • Scope to influence the quality of analysis, recommendations, performance visibility, and execution support provided to senior decision-makers.
  • The opportunity to work across functions and help convert strategic priorities into practical, measurable action.

Sensitive identity, right-to-work, background-check, or payroll information will only be requested at the appropriate stage and where legally required. Please do not provide bank details, passport information, or other sensitive personal information during the initial application stage.
