We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially experienced expert-level Retoucher to join our Photography Team, working in the dynamic and creative environment of our in-house photography studio and creative department. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional, industry-leading retouching across product, lifestyle, and campaign imagery — maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, colour, and quality, while ensuring consistency with the FitFlop Photographic Style Guide. You will be a key contributor to elevating the visual standard of our imagery and will gain exposure to all aspects of FitFlop Photography activity, collaborating closely with a passionate, fast-moving team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure best practices are implemented, maintaining organised file structures, correct file naming conventions, image protocols, and overall quality control standards.
- Deliver high-quality work across multiple projects simultaneously, from detailed product colour-matching to complex compositing and creative problem-solving.
- Switch between different projects, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Ensure all imagery meets brand standards — delivering pixel-perfect, colour-accurate, and visually impactful results.
- Collaborate with the Retouch, Photography, Social and Production teams to ensure imagery is matched to the correct sample, streamline the sign-off process, and meet deadlines.
- Stay technically sharp: keep abreast of industry trends, new Photoshop techniques, and best practices for high-volume workflows; proactively suggest process improvements to boost quality and efficiency.
- Work independently and under pressure: manage multiple edits and tight turnarounds while delivering at a high standard.
- Integrate AI-assisted retouching techniques to improve workflow.
- Occasional creative support: assist with GIF creation and basic motion edits.
The Person
- Excellent Photoshop expertise with professional retouching experience at a mid-weight or senior level; advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CC, Wacom workflows, and non-destructive editing (colour correction, compositing, skin retouching, etc.).
- Proactive communication of project status and workload; ability to work with multiple stakeholders and manage expectations; establish strong interdepartmental relationships through product understanding.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating premium commercial and campaign retouching; ability to innovate in high-volume workflows while improving quality and reducing sign-off time.
- Exceptional attention to detail in colour, texture, and composition.
- E-commerce and campaign experience across high-volume imagery and creative assets.
- Experience working with photographers, producers, and other creatives; able to incorporate feedback into actionable improvements.
- Continuous improvement mindset: looking for ways to improve image quality, reduce retouching time, and streamline workflows.
- Calm under pressure: comfortable with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Keeps up to date with Adobe software updates and new techniques.
- Open to using AI tools for retouching.
- Ability to deliver exceptional work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
