This role is critical in designing and delivering automated, scalable data cleansing and transformation processes, with Excel Power Query as the core toolset. The successful candidate will be responsible for building structured, repeatable data pipelines that ensure high data quality, auditability, and efficiency throughout the migration lifecycle. You will work closely with Finance, IT, and Business stakeholders to translate data requirements into robust transformation logic, enabling accurate and controlled data migration into NetSuite.

The Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power Query-based ETL processes for:
  • Data extraction from multiple sources (legacy systems, databases, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Automated data cleansing and standardisation.
  • Transformation and enrichment aligned with NetSuite data structures.
  • Build reusable and scalable Power Query solutions to automate data preparation for CSV imports into NetSuite.
  • Perform data mapping and transformation logic design, ensuring alignment with:
    • Chart of Accounts.
    • Segments (Departments, Classes, Locations, Custom Segments).
    • Master data and transactional structures.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and completeness through:
    • Validation checks.
    • Reconciliation processes.
    • Exception reporting.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including:
    • Data mapping files.
    • Transformation logic.
    • Data quality rules.
    • Migration procedures.
  • Support data migration cycles, including:
    • Trial loads.
    • UAT validation.
    • Issue resolution and data correction loops.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate data processes, reducing manual intervention and increasing efficiency.
  • Work closely with Finance teams to ensure data aligns with accounting and reporting requirements.
  • The Person:

    • Advanced Excel expertise with strong Power Query (M language) skills — this is a core requirement.
    • Proven experience in data migration, data transformation, or ETL-focused roles, ideally within ERP implementations.
    • Demonstrated experience in building automated data cleansing and transformation pipelines.
    • Strong understanding of data structures in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
    • Experience with CSV-based data imports and migration frameworks.
    • Solid understanding of finance and accounting processes (e.g., GL, AP, AR, P&L structures).
    • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and data quality.
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and implement structured solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data concepts into business language.
    • Experience working with large datasets across multiple sources.
    • Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management.
    • Experience with NetSuite is essential, particularly data migration and CSV imports.
    • Experience with MS Dynamics Navision, databases, Power BI, Tableau or data models is advantageous.

    The Benefits:

    • Product Allowance
    • Hybrid and flexible working hours (3 days per week in the office)
    • Summer Fridays (6 ½ days in July and August on Fridays)
