FitFlop is a fast‑moving, ambitious global retailer. We’re looking for a Commercial Finance Manager (Fixed‑Term Contract until 30th October 2026) to support financial planning and decision‑making across the business. Location: Hammersmith, England, United Kingdom.
Responsibilities
- Preparing robust budgets and forecasts, working closely with the business to support and challenge their submissions to finance across all OPEX areas (Marketing, People (HR), Property, Product, Digital, Technology, Professional Fees, T&E).
- Variance analysis of actuals vs forecasts, including investigating why variances have occurred and communicating risks & opportunities.
- Business partnering – embedded in the business, supporting stakeholders to make the right decisions from a commercial & financial standpoint.
- Manage weekly and monthly reporting and standardised tools for stakeholders across the business.
- Collaborate with BI to develop automated insight reports to help the business track, understand and drive performance.
- Build strong relationships across finance, keeping communication channels open to ensure accurate reporting and avoid ‘surprises’.
- Assist in implementation of NetSuite.
- Manage and develop a Commercial Finance analyst.
- Lead month‑end process accruals, post payroll, perform reconciliations and produce monthly report packs for stakeholders.
- Produce bi‑monthly cash‑flow inputs for the financial model.
Qualifications
- Experience in a commercial finance function for a retail business; understanding of wholesale, distributor, B2C models is a benefit.
- Highly analytical, skilled with data and numbers, using them to influence, challenge and support commercial decisions and identify opportunities.
- Excellent communicator, collaborating cross‑functionally with all levels and comfortable with colour‑coded spreadsheets.
- Relationship‑builder with stakeholders, confident in challenging when required.
- Proactive, curious and focused; keen to make an impact, ask questions, pull information and involve the right people.
- Experience using BI reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Qualified accountant with post‑qualification experience is advantageous.
- Experience in ERP transformation projects, e.g., NetSuite implementation.
