Overview
BMI is currently seeking a Product Manager for our growing suite of products as we expand our product team to deliver on the business’s cross-domain product vision. We have a multi-year product strategy to deliver unique, data-driven value to our diverse user base across financial services, corporates, and government sectors. How you’ll make an impact
In this role, you’ll lead the squad, work closely with different groups to understand their needs, solve problems, and ensure we’re building solutions that advance our business objectives. You’ll work alongside analytical groups and technology teams to align priorities and deliver key outcomes. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are important, and you should enjoy working with colleagues who have different levels of experience with Agile. A collaborative, customer-first mindset is essential.
- Manage the full product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch support.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends—in alignment with the overall product strategy.
- Conduct new product discovery with clients and prospects to identify market needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data science, research marketing and sales, to ensure successful product delivery.
- Lead the Agile design and delivery teams to convert value propositions and customer needs into software products.
- Define product requirements and specifications and own the backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and positioning.
- Lead the Agile squad to define and align sprint goals, ensuring "ready" user stories and supporting the squad to deliver on sprint commitments.
- Support the squad in identifying dependencies and other execution risks.
- Work closely with the squad to provide timely feedback and answers to their questions; ultimately accept or reject the product increments of the sprint.
- Monitor product performance and user feedback, implementing improvements and optimizations as needed, with data-driven evidence.
- Communicate product vision and strategy to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in financial markets and B2B intelligence.
- Take a forward-looking approach to resource deployment.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in agile product management with strong foundations, preferably in the B2B intelligence space.
- Proven experience in the full product development lifecycle and new product discovery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using critical, rational and creative thinking and being outcome-driven.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and matrixed environment and effectively manage conflicting priorities and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to lead a cross-functional squad, spread across multiple geographies.
What would make you stand out
- Demonstrated experience of leading 0 to 1 product development.
- Experience of the B2B information industry, financial market data and analytics.
- Experience working with data, ML and GenAI.
- Familiarity with API and web-based data delivery systems.
- Ability to work as part of a larger team and being willing to take on projects at short notice.
- Certification in agile product management.
