The selected candidate will form part of a global team of analysts responsible for BMI’s Infrastructure Industry Research service, which provides BMI’s clients with in-depth, market-level and thematic insights and analysis on the infrastructure sector and construction industry, with coverage extending to over 100 countries and markets globally. The role is a hybrid one, with attendance currently required a minimum of two days a week at our London, UK office.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Stay current with the latest trends in the infrastructure and construction sectors both at a global level and within assigned markets.
- Review and update a series of regional and/or market-specific reports on a quarterly basis.
- Update ten-year forecasts for key construction and infrastructure indicators.
- Produce insightful and actionable analysis and contribute to ad hoc reports and special projects.
- Interact with clients, including preparing for and participating in both virtual and in-person meetings to present and discuss BMI views and outlooks.
What You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, public policy, international relations, transportation, energy, or related field.
- Strong communication and writing skills as well as familiarity with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Willingness and ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and meeting periodic deadlines.
- Ability to solve problems using critical and creative thinking.
- Demonstrable interest in infrastructure and construction.
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- One (1) year of experience (academic or professional) in analysis and research related to infrastructure, construction or related fields such as transportation, energy, or real estate.
- Prior experience interacting with clients.
- Understanding of key concepts related to infrastructure project development and construction, such as the infrastructure project lifecycle, decarbonisation, multilateral infrastructure finance, project delivery methods, and public private partnerships (P3s).
