Fitch Solutions, a global leader in emerging markets analysis, is currently looking for a Freelance Analyst who specialises in the Banking sector to update quarterly industry reports.
Each Banking report covers a single country, and contains both qualitative and quantitative analysis, including Fitch Solutions’ proprietary sector-specific and macroeconomic data and forecasts. Work is assigned on a quarterly basis and you would be responsible for covering an agreed number of countries each quarter.
As the Banking reports tie in with our Country Risk analysis, we are looking for candidates with a strong interest in current affairs across developed and emerging markets. The successful applicant will also have strong research and writing skills, as well as an ability to work with and analyse large volumes of data.
The Freelance Analyst will need to:
- Research recent industry events and relevant issues affecting the industry in a specific country.
- Research recent activities of various companies and institutions linked with that sector and analysing the growth strategies.
- Identify market and company trends.
- Update the text of the reports based on your research and the new data forecasts provided.
Basic Requirements:
- A degree of 2:1 or higher in banking and finance, economics or another relevant field.
- Fluent English writing style.
- Keen interest in economics, global financial markets and world affairs.
- Previous experience (academic or professional) in written analysis and research concerning banking, including balance sheet analysis and financial soundness
- Prior work experience in a related field (ideally private sector).
- Experience with a content management system (CMS) is desired.
