The Data Analyst will join the Data Operations team, responsible for collecting and extracting fundamental data across Fitch Group. You will analyse and maintain data for bank entities, interpret financial data from annual and other periodic reports, ensure accurate extraction from balance sheets, income statements, and notes according to Fitch methodology, and support client queries internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse financial data to ensure information from annual or periodical reports is collected in line with Fitch policies and methodology.
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders on financial data queries via email, phone, or face‑to‑face.
  • Recommend process improvements to data capture and quality assurance, and assist with implementation, guiding offshore teams and updating documentation.
  • Escalate issues promptly to the relevant team member to find timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete all monthly tasks on time.

Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of accounting practices to interpret all aspects of a financial report; ideally a degree to a standard in accountancy or business studies.
  • Prior experience working with financial statement fundamental data is preferred.
  • A second language would be advantageous.
