Overview
As Senior Director, you will own and shape the engineering organization powering Fitch’s Corporates, Financial Institutions & Sovereigns lines. You’ll lead multiple high-performing full-stack teams, driving bold modernization, greenfield innovation, and AI-native platforms in a complex financial services context. Responsibilities
- Set and execute a bold technical vision for four full-stack engineering teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop team leads and engineers across diverse backgrounds
- Oversee modernization of critical platforms while delivering new systems
- Pursue greenfield opportunities to design and deploy net-new applications
- Champion AI/ML capabilities as integral parts of platforms
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and delivery
Key requirements
- 18+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Proven multi-team leadership across full-stack disciplines
- Strong command of modern software architecture, cloud-native platforms, and production-grade delivery
- Production experience with React, Java, and/or Python; deployed on AWS and/or Azure
- Bias for experimentation and driving impactful technical change
- Experience modernizing platforms while delivering new systems
- People leadership and talent development responsibilities
- Cross-functional stakeholder management and executive communication abilities
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, ML, or related field or equivalent expertise
