Overview
In this role you will help architect the next generation of AI-powered credit analysis at Fitch, leading hands-on development of novel ML systems. You will operate at senior level within the AI Innovation Teams, guiding architecture, governance, and production-scale deployment while mentoring engineers. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to turn research breakthroughs into scalable capabilities that influence global financial markets. Responsibilities
- Design net-new generative AI solutions and agentic workflows
- Lead exploration of multi-agent systems, RAG architectures, and model fine-tuning
- Define ML architecture, engineering standards, and governance patterns
- Mentor and coach ML engineers while collaborating with product squads
- Deliver production-ready AI capabilities with robust CI/CD and scalable APIs
- Drive ML governance, monitor SLAs, and translate ML concepts to non-technical audiences
- Shape team culture and technical direction in a greenfield environment
Key requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience building production AI/ML systems
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML algorithms across classical and deep learning
- Experience with generative AI, large language models, and agentic systems
- Hands-on experience with deployment patterns and scalable ML architectures
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
