The Model Development Team (MDT) plays a critical role in designing, enhancing and maintaining the credit rating models that underpin Fitch Rating’s analytical processes. It is part of the Analytical Group with thirty talented modelling specialists located in the UK, US and China. We work very closely with the ratings team to design and develop models applying the relevant rating methodologies rigorously, accurately and efficiently.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Gain and leverage valuable knowledge of credit modelling, rating methodology and criteria.
- Contribute to the development of models across a diverse set of sectors, including Corporates, Infrastructure and Project Finance, Financial Institutions, and Governments and Public Finance.
- Team up with other talented specialists to research, design, implement and enhance models, conduct comprehensive testing, and prepare model documentation.
- Leverage the opportunity to contribute to other team initiatives such as training, research projects and user/client support.

- Master’s degree in quantitative disciplines such as Financial Engineering.
- Programming and model development experience in Excel/VBA and Python or R.
