Overview
In this role, you will shape Fitch’s data strategy at the intersection of data and AI, ensuring our enterprise data capabilities are AI-ready and scalable. You will work across the CDO and partner teams to translate AI needs into pragmatic data requirements and roadmaps. You’ll drive the development of capabilities such as semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and ontologies to enable trusted AI-driven data use. This senior leader role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution to accelerate Fitch’s AI initiatives and data governance.

Responsibilities
- Define and drive the CDO's AI data enablement strategy and roadmap
- Advance AI-ready data capabilities including semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and ontologies
- Translate AI needs into enterprise data requirements and priorities across CDO and business teams
- Identify and pursue opportunities to apply AI across data capabilities and processes (data operations, governance, MDM)
- Lead experiments with emerging AI/data technologies and scale successful approaches
- Serve as AI SME within the CDO and translate tech developments into actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security and other stakeholders on security, compliance, IP and governance
- Own the outcomes and execution of the AI data enablement agenda with measurable objectives and risk management
Key requirements
- 10–15+ years in data and AI with experience leading complex enterprise initiatives
- Experience designing or delivering AI-ready enterprise data capabilities (semantic layers, knowledge graphs, ontologies)
- Strong practical understanding of modern AI tech (generative AI, LLMs, retrieval, agentic AI)
- Deep understanding of data platforms, metadata, data quality, governance and modern data architecture
- Proven ability to translate AI use cases into enterprise data/tech/operating-model strategies
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong strategic, analytical and communication skills with technical credibility
