About The Team

Reporting to the Head of HR, Fitch Solutions, the Senior HRBP, Fitch Learning will lead Talent Management and HR service delivery for over 170 employees globally.
As one of the senior-most Human Resources business leads in Fitch Group, the Senior HRBP, Fitch Learning will operate as a credible, strategic and commercially focused advisor at Senior Management level, supporting the CEO and Senior Leadership Team across a multi-market client group. She/He will utilize this credibility to influence and drive organization planning, increase capability and performance and resolve business conflict where necessary.
A Successful Senior HRBP Will Lead By Example To Establish Best Practices And Performance Standards, Ensuring They Engage In a Thoughtful, Proactive, And Strategic Dialogue With Their Client Groups And Collaborate Effectively With HR CoEs And The HR Service Centre. They Will Have Ownership Over The Development And Application Of a Wide Range Of HR Activities Within Their Client Groups Including, But Not Limited To
- Resource planning and oversight of staffing budget;
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Talent and Performance Management.
- Employee Relations and Workforce Risk & Control processes.
- Compensation assessment and planning.
As a member of the Fitch Group HR team, the Senior HRBP, Fitch Learning will also contribute to wider HR Strategy, ensuring their objectives and approach are aligned to this and helping to foster strong, collaborative and productive working relationships between their team and other teams in HR, as well as key “partner” Group functions such as Legal, Finance, and Risk.
The ideal candidate must be an enterprise level thinker who has a successful track record in enabling organizational growth and change through tactical HR activities. Candidates will need to demonstrate strong knowledge of strategic Human Resource Management practices and the concepts that underpin these, and a robust understanding of labor legislation and its application across multiple jurisdictions, with substantial experience handling sensitive employee relations issues. Ideally, candidates will have held roles in different HR specialisms (e.g., recruiting, talent, employee relations) and will have prior experience managing and motivating a team.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Develops a thorough understanding of the business goals and objectives while aligning HR services with management needs and requirements. Learns the business objectives, it’s future business direction, and links HR strategy with business deliverables.
- Acts as a counsel to the business leaders for all employee related matters. Including but not limited to performance management, employee relations, headcount planning, organizational and change management initiatives.
- Works proactively with other operations teams to gain a solid understanding of the key business drivers. Can assess and disseminate complex situations into workable solutions for the business and employees.
- Works seamlessly with the recruiting team to identify and recruit top talent. Interviewing candidates when necessary, agreeing compensation, creating compelling employment packages.
- Maintains an effective level of business literacy including Fitch’s financial position, the medium to long term objectives, its culture, and the competition.
- Anticipates HR related issues and proactively addresses employee matters. Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Is commercially responsible to know when to inform internal Legal Counsel. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. Coaches both manager and non-managers on work related issues and provides policy interpretation. Guides managers and others through legally, sound performance management and corrective action process.
- Acts as the single point of contact for business managers. Collecting and discussing issues and finding resolutions by leveraging the specialist HR representatives.
- In collaboration with the Learning and Development team, helps develop and deliver training programs on a variety of technical and management topics.
- Provides timely, accurate and meaningful management reports, analysis, and forecasts, both quantitative and qualitative on workforce data. Recommends strategies and approaches to correct or improve issues and/or trends identified.
You May Be a Good Fit If
- Expertise and familiarity within a commercial learning provider is highly desirable, as is experience gained in a content-driven service business, such as a financial information and data provider, a consulting firm, or a professional services firm.
- A minimum of 10 years’ professional HR experience, ideally gained in a Consulting, Financial Services or Professional Services business.
- Experience of partnering with senior executives in a dynamic and fast changing environment and representing and promoting the leadership change agenda through a thoughtful and constructive approach
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and ideally a postgraduate HR or business management qualification
- Direct experience in organizational transformation and change management projects.
- Experience of working with global client groups
- Line management and development of junior HR professionals
