About The Team
The Product team is responsible for delivering data, content, and platform capabilities that support clients and internal stakeholders across the organization.
We operate in a product-led environment focused on identifying customer needs, building scalable solutions, and delivering measurable business value.
As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in defining, prioritizing, and delivering data and platform capabilities.
Working closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Data, Research, and Commercial teams, you will help shape the product roadmap, drive execution, and ensure the successful delivery of solutions that improve user experience, data quality, and business outcomes.
- Product Ownership & Delivery
- Own and prioritise product backlogs, aligning delivery with product strategy, customer needs, and measurable business value.
- Translate business and technical needs into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and non-functional requirements.
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering to shape roadmaps, sequence capabilities, manage dependencies, and maintain a delivery-ready backlog.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and UAT, ensuring delivered functionality meets agreed requirements and user outcomes.
- Use AI-enabled tools to create prototypes and demonstrations that make ideas tangible, test assumptions, and accelerate decisions.
- Data Product & Domain Expertise
- Define capabilities that make data and content easier to discover, understand, access, integrate, and reuse.
- Gather requirements covering metadata, taxonomy, lineage, ownership, entitlements, search, onboarding, and data quality.
- Define requirements for mastered data, including identifier design and lifecycle, validation, matching, mapping, hierarchies, and cross-references.
- Use SQL or similar analytical tools to investigate datasets, validate requirements, and support product decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Improvement
- Work across Product, Engineering, Data, Research, Operations, Commercial, and customer teams to understand workflows, resolve ambiguity, and drive alignment.
- Communicate priorities, decisions, dependencies, risks, and progress clearly to technical and business audiences.
- Use customer feedback, product performance, and delivery insights to prioritise improvements and measure value.
- You May Be a Good Fit If
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Product Management, Business Analysis, or a related role within Financials Services or Fin Tech
- Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritised backlogs.
- Experience working with Agile engineering teams and tools such as Jira and Confluence, with confidence using SQL or similar analytical tools.
- Knowledge of data products, metadata, identifiers, mastered data, data quality, and the lifecycle of data across systems.
- Understanding of APIs, data models, integrations, and the requirements needed to build reliable data services.
- Comfort using AI-enabled tools to develop prototypes or demonstrations that support discovery and stakeholder decisions.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
