About the Team

Ratings Workflow Solutions (RWS), part of the Ratings COO organization, is a cross-functional, agile team responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing applications and workflows used by our Ratings staff.

Our goal is to streamline processes, mitigate risks, and advance standardization and automation across Fitch’s ratings platforms and workflows.

The team partners closely with analytical, business, and technology staff to ensure our systems support the needs of the Ratings organization and enable our staff to work effectively.

How You’ll Make an Impact

We’re looking for an Associate Product Owner to support one or more Product Owners in defining product roadmaps and translating business needs into actionable solutions.

This role will contribute to strategic initiatives that improve the workflows, systems, and data processes underpinning Private Credit and Ratings work.

We are looking for an independent yet highly collaborative thinker with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to requirements gathering and analysis.

This role will work closely with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to understand current-state processes, identify opportunities to modernise workflows, and drive innovation through the use of AI and other enabling tools.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable diving into the detail while maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture, with strong experience in writing clear user stories, creating well-defined Jira tickets, and translating business needs into actionable delivery plans.

Responsibilities include streamlining document and data management, enhancing cross-team reporting, enabling AI-driven innovation in workflow management and content processing, and ensuring secure data delivery across platforms.

Working closely with Agile squads and business stakeholders, you’ll translate business needs into clear requirements and help drive solutions that improve operational efficiency.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating across teams, and shaping product and process improvements in an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative, customer-first mindset and be comfortable working with colleagues at different levels of Agile maturity.

  • Support Product Owners in defining and executing product direction for records management, document feed capabilities and data flows across platforms, aligned to organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
  • Analyze and document workflows and system processes in both current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) formats
  • Elicit requirements from stakeholders and translate them into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Participates in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and daily scrum meetings
  • Work closely with Agile squad members to provide timely feedback and help ensure sprint goals are met.
  • Help maintain and refine the squad backlog, including prioritization support and sprint readiness.
  • Coordinate dependencies across squads, partner teams, and upstream/downstream systems
  • Help define and track product metrics to document business value.
  • Support user readiness activities, including testing coordination, training materials, release communications, and post-release feedback loops.

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in business analysis and/or Product Management.
  • Proven track record of delivering workflow and data-driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.
  • Sees the business as a customer and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Ability to create and maintain a backlog and roadmap, and to prioritize that backlog based on business value and technical feasibility.
  • Fluency in Agile methodology and/or supporting delivery routines.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work well with teams & stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt communication to audience.
  • Strong follow-through, attention to detail, and an ownership mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-demand, matrixed organization.
