BMI is currently seeking a Project Manager based out of our London or Manchester office. BMI's systematic, independent and data-driven market insights, analysis and forecasts enable customers to recognize and assess risks and opportunities across markets and industries. BMI's team integrates cross-domain expertise (Economics, Politics, 20+ industries, ESG, Commodities) and computer science to create systematic country-by-country risk analytics and time series forecasts that are transparent and can be validated. We build and maintain robust models that our customers use to identify and manage a wide variety of country risks.
Responsibilities
- Be a partner to product managers and technical/data leads in leading complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop and manage detailed project delivery schedules, integrating cross-functional dependencies, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Ensure alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations and support the project scoping through the product development lifecycle for 0 to 1 products.
- Work across multiple projects on the analytics and data product portfolio and manage dependencies within these squads and supporting teams outside this portfolio within BMI and Fitch Solutions.
- Lead risk management, project governance and continuous process improvement, and proactively help us understand dependencies and resolutions, particularly cross-platforms and squads.
- Identify and surface risks early and implement mitigation strategies along with the right stakeholders.
- Help us deliver on scope, time and budget; by supporting spend assessments and ensuring we flex scope/budget as needed by raising risks well ahead of time.
- Support agile product discovery and design, enhancing efficiency, team collaboration and instilling an outcome and value driven culture.
- Utilize Jira and Confluence (and any other tools) for project tracking, documentation, and communication.
- Cultivate a high-performing team environment, supporting collaboration and innovation.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status and performance.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

- Expertise in project governance, risk management, and financial planning.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working with data science and data operation teams.
- Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
