BMI is currently seeking a Global Economist (Emerging Markets). BMI's systematic, independent and dataâdriven market insights, analysis and forecasts enable customers to recognize and assess risks and opportunities across markets and industries. You will play a key role in our global country risk analysis, helping to set views, producing standardâsetting content, and providing intellectual leadership on macroeconomics, country risk and big global themes. You will be a key point of contact for clients and for BMI's commercial team, spending a significant amount of time talking to clients to help them understand our views, and how these views affect their business. You will take a leading role in our emerging market coverage in particular, driving views, identifying emerging themes, and coordinating with our country risk analysts.
You May be a Good Fit if:
- We are looking for an experienced analyst with a master's degree in economics and at least 10 years' experience in country risk analysis.
- You should demonstrate substantial expertise in macroeconomic forecasting and country risk assessments.
- You should have experience covering emerging markets from an economic and political risk perspective.
- You will also need to demonstrate substantial experience of helping clients understand country risk.
