The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

We are seeking a commercially astute Project Quantity Surveyor to support the successful delivery of high-quality commercial fit-out projects. The role will take ownership of the day-to-day commercial management of either:

  • 1 x £5m+ project
  • 2-3 x £1m projects

Working closely with the Project Manager and Commercial Director, the Project QS will ensure robust cost control, accurate reporting, and strong commercial performance across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Management
    • Manage project costs from post-contract through to final account
    • Support Project Managers in delivering projects within agreed budgets and margins
    • Assist in identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • Valuations & Cash Flow
    • Prepare and submit client valuations in line with agreed payment schedules
    • Monitor cash flow and ensure timely applications and payments
    • Support negotiation of interim valuations and final accounts
  • Variations Management
    • Identify, price, and manage variations (VOs) in line with company process
    • Provide clear substantiation and backup for all variation submissions
    • Track and maintain variation logs ensuring all instructed works are captured
  • Commercial Reporting
    • Maintain and update CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) on a monthly basis
    • Provide accurate forecasting of cost and value
    • Support monthly project reporting including revenue and cost accruals
  • Systems & Administration (Coins)
    • Manage all commercial administration within Coins
    • Ensure orders, budgets, and cost allocations are correctly recorded
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date commercial data
  • Procurement Support
    • Assist with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
    • Review and manage subcontractor packages and payments

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial fit-out or construction
  • Strong understanding of post-contract commercial management
  • Experience managing projects in the £1m - £5m+ range
  • Competent in valuations, variations, and CVR reporting
  • Experience using Coins (or similar commercial systems)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers and wider teams
