Fit Out UK is a leading interior fit-out contractor and relocation specialist, renowned for delivering high-quality projects across the Retail, Leisure and Commercial sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team and play a key role in the commercial delivery of exciting retail refurbishment projects.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the full commercial management of retail refurbishment projects from inception through to final account. This is a hands-on role ideal for a proactive QS who thrives in a fast-paced, retail-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of Construction Management Contracts
- Administration of JCT Contracts and Collateral Warranties
- Procurement and commercial management of trade packages
- Cash flow forecasting and financial reporting
- Monthly valuations and applications
- Management of variations, change control, and final accounts
- Weekly commercial reporting and cost tracking
- Attendance at weekly design, progress, and client meetings
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Solid experience as a Quantity Surveyor within retail refurbishment (essential)
- Additional experience in new-build commercial or warehouse projects is highly desirable
- Strong working knowledge of JCT contracts and Construction Management
- Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to manage costs proactively
- Confident, personable, and a strong team player
- Ideally based in London or commutable (no relocation support)
