Role
We are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with proven Fast-Track Retail & Commercial Fit‑Out experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of mechanical projects from inception to completion
- Develop & maintain detailed programmes (Asta/MS Project) for fast-track deliveries
- Attend site surveys and produce detailed mechanical audit reports for accurate scoping & costing
- Procure and manage mechanical labour, plant & materials
- Lead site teams and coordinate with main contractor & client stakeholders
- Drive exceptional health & safety standards on live retail sites
- Manage variations, risk and commercial control
- Build and expand our approved mechanical subcontractor database
Essential Requirements
- Proven Mechanical Project Management experience gained specifically within fast-track retail and commercial fit‑out (live store environments essential)
- Strong track record delivering HVAC and plumbing packages on tight programmes (4-12 week cycles)
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills - able to manage high-profile retail brands
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (Asta Powerproject or MS Project)
- In-depth knowledge of commercial Plumbing, Ventilation & Air Conditioning
- Ability to work autonomously and lead multiple projects
Highly Advantageous
- Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or Construction Management
- Existing relationships with mechanical subcontractors specialising in retail fast-track works
