Fit Out UK is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our growing team delivering high-end retail fit out projects across the UK.
You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical packages on retail fit-out schemes from mobilisation through to handover and final account.
This is a dynamic hhybrid role requiring regular travel to projects and our offices when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of electrical projects from mobilisation through to practical completion and final account.
- Plan, programme, and coordinate labour, materials, plant, and specialist subcontractors.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, suppliers, and statutory authorities.
- Ensure full compliance with BS 7671, Building Regulations, health & safety legislation, and client specifications.
- Review and manage electrical designs, technical submissions, drawings, and coordination with other disciplines.
- Oversee procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and energisation.
- Chair project meetings and provide clear updates on programme, cost, quality, and risk.
- Manage QA documentation, O&M manuals, as-installed drawings, and handover processes.
- Identify and mitigate technical and commercial risks.
- Support variations, change control, and final account settlement.
- Build strong client relationships for repeat business.
- Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as an Electrical Project Manager in retail fit out or commercial fit-out sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, power, controls, data, security systems, and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of current Building Regulations.
- Proven commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets and programmes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
