Fit Out UK is a leading retail fit-out contractor delivering construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects for some of the UK's best-known retailers.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with Supermarket / Retail experience to join our team.
The Role
You'll take ownership of retail and commercial fit-out projects from initial scoping through to final handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with clients, commercial teams, procurement, designers, and site teams, you'll manage every stage of the project lifecycle while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion.
- Coordinate programmes, surveys, drawings, and site teams.
- Monitor budgets, variations, and project profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, CDM and Health & Safety requirements.
- Lead subcontractors and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
- Build strong client relationships and provide regular progress updates.
- Manage snagging, handover documentation, and project close-out.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- 5+ years' experience managing retail fit-out projects.
- Strong commercial and project management skills.
- Knowledge of Building Regulations and CDM.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience working in live retail environments.
- Knowledge of BREEAM.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications.
