Fit Out UK is a leading interior fit out contractor with nationwide coverage, specializing in Retail, Leisure, Commercial, and Residential sectors. Our integrated approach includes in-house manufacturing of high-quality metal components to support fast, efficient project delivery.
Due to continued growth and a brand-new manufacturing facility in Doncaster, we are recruiting a skilled Amada Brake Press Operator (or CNC Press Brake Operator with Amada experience) for hands-on production of precision sheet metal parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, and operate Amada brake press machines (including tooling selection, bend sequencing, and parameter adjustments) to produce accurate metal components from technical drawings and blueprints.
- Perform test bends, make necessary adjustments, and ensure repeatability and high-quality output in line with production schedules.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications to meet tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and verify compliance with quality standards.
- Stack, label, and document completed components accurately on production paperwork before handover to next departments.
- Collaborate with the Metalwork Supervisor to optimize machine performance, reduce downtime, and maintain output targets.
- Identify, report, and assist with any machine faults, tooling wear, or maintenance needs.
- Uphold a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with health & safety regulations.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Proven experience operating Amada brake press machines (essential β CNC programming/setup knowledge preferred).
- Strong ability to read technical drawings/blueprints and perform precise sheet metal bending/fabrication.
- Experience with tooling selection, machine adjustments, and quality control/inspection.
