Senior Waste to Energy Maintenance Manager UAE (M/W)
For a confidential international client, we hold an exclusive mandate to recruit a Senior Industrial Maintenance Manager (M/W) on a permanent, full-time basis for a large continuous-process energy-from-waste facility in the United Arab Emirates.
In this high-impact, site-based role, you will own the full maintenance function to maximise plant availability, reliability and cost control. You’ll lead major outages, strengthen preventive & predictive programs and drive continuous improvement across internal teams and contractors. Your main mission is to ensure the continuous operational condition of this major industrial plant in compliance with local regulations and best in class safety standards. You will oversee a large maintenance team, from 30 to 50 direct employees plus supervise the various subcontractors.
- Maintenance Leadership – Define and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies. Lead major outages and shutdowns, ensure plant availability, reliability, and cost control.
- Performance & KPIs – Monitor technical availability, unplanned downtime, schedule compliance, and budget adherence. Report results and propose improvements.
- Compliance & Safety – Guarantee full compliance with HSE, legal and technical standards. Drive a zero-incident culture.
- Continuous Improvement – Implement reliability programs (RCA, FMEA), optimize spare parts strategy, strengthen CMMS usage, and reduce rework.
- Team & Contractor Management – Lead, motivate and develop internal teams; manage contractors and service providers to deliver on time, on budget, at required quality.
Mobility: Primarily site-based, country or regional mobility for business matters.
Starting date: October 2025, once the selection process is finalized.
Contract type: Local permanent contract, with various mobility package.
Mindset: you are looking for a long-term position, willing to grow with the Client’s various Middle East projects.
Profile
- Senior degree Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Senior industrial Maintenance experience in large industrial facilities
- 15 to 20 years of experience in maintenance leadership within large industrial continuous-process facilities
- Expected maintenance experience in sectors such as Oil , Waste-to-energy , Energy
- Expected technical knowledge in Boilers , Turbines fuelled by Oil , Coal , Waste – not Gaz based
- Proven track record leading major outages, CMMS optimization, and contractor management
- International experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Languages: professional English required, any additional languages is a plus
