World of Wedgwood is the home of Stoke-on-Trent’s most prestigious ceramics brand, Wedgwood, in Barlaston (5 minutes from Trentham).Reporting to the Head Chef, this is a back of house kitchen role where cleanliness and the logistics of a kitchen operation are the main priority. Key tasks include operation of dishwasher, receipt and storage of all food and equipment deliveries along with systematic cleaning of all back of house areas and supporting the kitchen brigade as and when required. To be a successful Kitchen Porter you will:* be motivated and have a ‘can-do’ attitude* have the ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team* ideally have an understanding of the required standards of food hygiene, although this is not essential Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided. This role is a permanent part time position working 15 hours per week, 2 days from 7 (predominately weekends, i.e. both Saturday and Sunday). Daily hours of work are generally 10.00am to 6.00pm, evening work may be required on occasion by prior arrangement.
