Our new, larger office in Corby includes a dedicated development and testing lab, giving engineers hands-on access to the latest technology. We’re passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and working at the forefront of AI and deep learning within industrial automation.

The Role

As a Graduate or Junior Applications Engineer, you’ll join a friendly and highly experienced team delivering real-world automation projects. You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle—from understanding customer requirements through to development, installation, commissioning, and ongoing support. Your time will be split between the office, lab, and customer sites across the UK, with occasional overseas travel. You’ll gain first-hand insight into how products are designed, manufactured, and inspected, working with multinational customers on bespoke solutions where no two projects are the same. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants hands-on engineering experience, strong technical development, and exposure to modern manufacturing and AI-driven technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configuring and testing industrial camera and machine vision systems
  • Designing, programming, and deploying machine vision solutions
  • Working closely with customers and suppliers to deliver high-quality technical solutions
  • Supporting customers both remotely and on-site
  • Collaborating with sales and engineering teams on technical proposals
  • Continuously developing technical knowledge to build a broad understanding of automation systems
  • Working with the latest AI, deep learning, and automation technologies

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related discipline (HNDs considered)
  • Exposure to programming and a strong desire to develop further
  • A methodical, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Willingness to travel and work in varied environments (factory, lab, office)
  • Full UK driving license

What We Offer

  • Starting salary of £30,000 (review after 6 months, then annually)
  • Private pension scheme
  • NHS top-up health policy with WPA
  • Full Electric company car or mileage allowance (once working independently)
  • Site day pay bonuses and all expenses covered
  • Discretionary end-of-year and Christmas bonuses (based on company performance)
  • 21 days’ holiday plus public holidays, increasing with service
  • Extensive training and mentoring, including hands-on experience with modern automation and AI technologies
  • Opportunities to attend international courses and trade shows
  • Clear career progression as you develop
  • Flexibility to shape your role around your interests and strengths
  • Friday team lunch
