Basic Job Functions:
- Nucor Skyline is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Production Lead.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Understand and implement all safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate activities and training of all teammates in your department.
- Coach and mentor teammates on work instructions, JHA's and production equipment.
- Monitor production and production paperwork to ensure it is being followed and performed to standard.
- Document and provide performance feedback and input into performance reviews.
- Ability to understand scheduling.
- Ability to identify areas of improvement in safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead will be an integral member of the Nucor Skyline team who understands the production environment, brings a strong consistent work ethic, and demonstrates a commitment to the safety and success of the team. A successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a group. Must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices and procedures at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Leadership experience or equivalent experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in shipping and receiving in a manufacturing industry or high pace production environment.
