The Team & Focus of the Role We’re looking to welcome a new colleague into our finance team!

We’re looking for an experienced Sales Ledger Controller to join the small & friendly team in our Head Office in Ashby de la Zouch.

Joining a team of 7, this role will ideally suit you if you’re detail orientated, enjoy working in a vibrant & social office and always give a first-class experience to the wider business. ​This is a full-time, 12 month FTC and the hours will be 08.45 – 17.15 Monday to Friday although there is flexibility with these timings as long as our core hours are covered & we operate a hybrid working policy.

  • Volunteering Leave equating to 2 days per year (pro rata if you’re part-time) Duties will include:
  • Maintaining the cashbook – Daily Banking & Bank reconciliation
  • Recording day to day incoming and outgoing payments and other financial transactions on Dimensions
  • Allocating cash promptly and correctly
  • Daily reconciliation of unallocated cash, liaising with other business areas to ensure that all cash received is allocated
  • Taking card payments & processing customer refunds
  • Preparing and distributing reports showing the ageing of sales ledger debt
  • Raising VAT only invoices and credit notes
  • Issuing monthly customer statements
  • Dealing with a centralised inbox

  • Strong use of Microsoft Packages – especially Excel
