Team & Focus of the Role
Our Infrastructure Services team continues to grow, and we are looking for a Project Assistant to join our Bury St Edmunds office. The role requires a motivated, self‑starter who thrives in fast‑paced environments and can provide excellent service to internal colleagues and external clients.
This is a permanent, full‑time position (Mon‑Fri) based in Bury St Edmunds and operates under our hybrid working policy.

Duties
- Liaise with landowners and external stakeholders
- Communicate with clients and respond to requests
- Liaise with contractors and external organisations
- Co‑ordinate and send Land Access Requests
- Manage and respond to project enquiries (calls, emails, post)
- Keep records of financial transactions
- Prepare documents: notices, licences, meeting minutes, maintain databases and document tracking
- Manage returned documentation and consents
- Work with GIS teams to create plans
Qualifications
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Experience in project management is advantageous
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise tasks
