As a Graduate Planner, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and across a variety of projects, ensuring that no two days are ever the same.
Our Graduate Planner opportunities cover a broad range of planning specialisms, including general practice planning, infrastructure planning and strategic planning. Working alongside colleagues from across Fisher German, you will help deliver planning advice that combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of national policy, local market conditions and regional development trends.
You will work closely with experienced Chartered Planners who will support your professional development and provide guidance throughout your journey towards achieving Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). Through structured learning, mentoring and practical experience, you will develop the skills and knowledge required to progress your career in planning.
Your role will focus on delivering tailored planning solutions that help clients achieve their objectives. You will support the preparation, submission and management of planning applications, assist with planning appraisals and policy reviews, and contribute to the production of planning statements and reports across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, utilities and infrastructure.
Building strong relationships and collaborating with a wide range of professionals, including architects, designers, highways engineers, drainage consultants and ecologists, will be key to your success. You'll gain valuable experience managing projects and coordinating input from multiple disciplines to deliver the best outcomes for clients.

Our Planning teams are located within the following regions:
- Ashby de la Zouch
- Worcester and Birmingham
- Chester, Manchester and Liverpool
The specific office location for this vacancy will be confirmed during the recruitment process, taking into account business requirements and candidate preferences.
Wherever you are based, you’ll join a supportive team with experienced colleagues around you, helping you develop your skills and progress through your APC journey.
