Our excellent graduate programme and APC support aims to provide you with the best start and progression opportunities in your professional career to become a Chartered Building Surveyor and beyond. As a Graduate Building Surveyor, you'll have the opportunity to work across a wide range of property types, helping clients understand, maintain, improve and protect their buildings.
From homes and public sector assets to commercial properties, you'll gain valuable experience across a diverse portfolio while developing the technical and professional skills needed for a successful career. Buildings have a story to tell, and as a building surveyor, you'll play an important role in shaping what happens next. You'll develop your understanding of building condition, maintenance, repair, refurbishment and improvement, helping clients make informed decisions about their property assets.
You could be involved in a variety of services, including pre-acquisition surveys, planned preventative maintenance, energy efficiency improvements, dilapidations advice, and repair and restoration projects. Working closely with clients and colleagues, you'll assess challenges, identify solutions and provide practical advice that delivers positive outcomes. Sustainability will also be an important part of your development.
As the built environment continues to evolve, you'll help clients consider how buildings can be maintained, adapted and improved to meet future demands while supporting environmental objectives. Your day-to-day work will be dynamic and varied, requiring strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple disciplines, building the knowledge, judgement and commercial awareness needed to become a well-rounded surveyor.
Throughout the programme, you'll receive structured training, mentoring and APC support from experienced professionals. Following the RICS Building Surveying pathway, you'll gain the breadth and depth of experience needed to work towards becoming a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Where are the roles based? Our Building Surveying teams are based across our UK office network, with opportunities available in a range of locations. The specific office location for this vacancy will be confirmed during the recruitment process, taking into account business requirements and candidate preferences. Wherever you are based, you’ll join a supportive team with experienced colleagues around you, helping you develop your skills and progress through your APC journey.
