The Team & Focus of the Role

We are on the lookout for a Receptionist to join our team in Birmingham on a 3 month FTC.

As Receptionist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where each day brings new challenges and opportunities.

Due to the nature of the position, this is an office-based role working Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm.

In return, beyond your base salary you will be included in

Duties will include

  • Act as the initial point of contact, offering a warm and professional greeting to visitors, clients, and colleagues.
  • Manage the reception area, answer and direct telephone calls, take messages, and handle general enquiries.
  • Provide hospitality for meetings, coordinate refreshments, and maintain well-presented meeting rooms.
  • Oversee office management activities, including ordering stationery, office supplies, and refreshments.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming post, deliveries, and courier packages.
  • Book and manage travel arrangements, accommodation, and event support.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers for maintenance and support.
  • Maintain office tidiness and ensure communal areas are clean and welcoming.
  • Maintain the kitchen tidiness and ensure dishwashers once finished are emptied as well as weekly food shops are put away once the delivery arrives.

  • Highly Organised and exceptional service standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in office administration and/or hospitality roles, especially managing reception desks.
  • High level of reliability, professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
