We are working on behalf of a leading Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor operating across the South Coast. Known for delivering high-quality groundwork packages for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, They are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor. Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial management and cost control of groundwork projects from pre-construction through to final accounts. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting project delivery teams and ensuring profitable outcomes. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the commercial aspects of multiple groundworks projects * Prepare, submit and negotiate tenders, variations, and final accounts * Track project budgets, valuations, and forecasts * Perform site visits and liaise with operational staff and clients * Prepare and present cost/value reports * Monitor subcontractor performance and payments * Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements Requirements: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Groundworks or Civil Engineering sector * Strong knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms * Excellent analytical, negotiation and reporting skills * Proficiency with MS Excel and industry-specific software (e.g., Causeway, Candy, COINS) * Full UK driving licence * Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (desirable) What We Offer: * Competitive salary and performance-related bonuses * Company car or car allowance * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Pension scheme * Support for continued professional development * A dynamic and collaborative working environment
