Fisher Civils Limited are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well established groundworks contractor based in the Bracknell area, with travel to Oxford required. This is a hands on commercial role suited to someone with solid groundworks experience who is comfortable managing projects from pre start through to final account.
Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple groundworks projects
- Preparing and submitting valuations and cost reports
- Managing variations and change control
- Subcontractor procurement payments and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and margins
- Working closely with site teams and project managers
- Assisting with tendering and pricing where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks
- Strong understanding of groundworks packages including drainage, foundations, and external works
- Confident managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
- Commercially aware and detail focused
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Based within a reasonable commute to Bracknell
