The Maltings is a brand new 59-bed care home in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as we prepare to welcome our first residents. Fisher Care Group has been providing kind, compassionate, and safe care since 1986, and we are excited to extend our family to this beautiful new home.
Location: The Maltings, Bridlington, West Yorkshire
Hours: 30-35 hours per week

About the Role
We are looking for dedicated Housekeepers and Laundry Assistants to join our support services team at The Maltings. You will play a vital role in ensuring our residents live in a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, contributing to their overall wellbeing and happiness.
Responsibilities
- Housekeeping Duties:
- Clean residents' rooms and communal areas to the highest standard, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing.
- Ensure sanitary facilities are spotless and well-stocked at all times.
- Care for furniture and fixtures appropriately.
- Empty and sanitise waste containers.
- Keep floors free of debris at all times.
- Report any maintenance issues or defects to the appropriate person.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order.
- Follow infection control procedures and COSHH regulations.
- Co-operate with other team members and assist in other areas when necessary.
- Ensure residents' clothing and bed linen is laundered to the highest standard.
- Operate commercial washing, drying, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold laundry items.
- Ensure laundry is collected and returned to the correct areas promptly.
- Put away personal clothing of residents in a neat and tidy manner.
- Ensure residents' wardrobes and clothing drawers are kept clean, neat, and organised.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the laundry area.
- Follow health and safety standards to avoid contamination.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping or laundry experience is desirable but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Respectful and sensitive to residents' privacy and individual needs.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Experience in a care home environment is desirable.
