Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring Utility Laborers for our Rochester, Pennsylvania location. A Utility Laborer at Team Fishel will assist the crew in completing the project safely, on time, and meeting the customer specifications for quality. Starting pay range for this position is $17 - $20/hour and will be commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Work safely as an essential part of our Team. Safety is our number one Core Value.
- Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor.
- Handle physically demanding construction duties in an outdoor environment.
- Assist crew members in placing underground pipes, conduits, shovel work, and in the operation of power tools.
- Be willing to learn career development skills related to utility construction, including the operation of equipment.
- Team Fishel will provide on-the-job training in all areas of safety, including flagging certification, tool operation and maintenance.
- No previous experience required, training available!
- Must be able to follow instructions.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig and reach.
- Must be able to lift, carry and place heavy objects.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must have the ability to work extended hours when needed.
- At least 18 years old with High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).
- Occasional extended travel required (Per Diem paid for all out-of-town projects).
