We are looking for an experienced Technician to join our team in Swindon. The role involves maintaining vehicles across a range of models, from Internal Combustion Engines to fully Electric Vehicles. You will work at our approved Volkswagen workshop, carrying out inspections, repairs and services while liaising with Service Advisors and customers. Analysis, diagnostics and road testing vehicles are also critical to ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain vehicles at an approved Volkswagen workshop, performing inspections, repairs, and services.
  • Carry out analysis, diagnostics and road testing to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
  • Liaise with Service Advisors and customers to ensure clear communication and satisfaction.
  • Build relationships and contribute to team cohesion, exploiting empathy and self‑confidence.
  • Take ownership of each issue through to resolution and generate innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair or equivalent.
  • Experience in a main dealership, independent garage, fast fit centre or car supermarket is advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with others, able to contribute to team cohesion and build relationships.
  • Commitment to creating a bespoke and excellent customer experience.
  • Willingness to adopt new ideas and approaches.
