It's an exciting time for the VW group brands at Fish Brothers with our purpose built service facility now open, combining the skills and expertise from the Aftersales departments of VWCV, Skoda and SEAT/CUPRA. We are excited to offer an experienced Technician the opportunity to join our dedicated and knowledgeable team.

At Fish Brothers our technical roles offer opportunities to work with a range of models and technologies, from Internal Combustion Engines through Hybrid Engines to fully Electric Vehicles supporting our customers with all of their mobility needs. As our technician you will spend most of your time in our approved Volkswagen workshop maintaining vehicles, carrying out inspections, repairs and services whilst liaising with Service Advisors and our Customers. Analysis, diagnostics and road testing vehicles are also a critical part of this role to ensure we exceed our Customers’ expectations.

You will need to be an experienced Technician who is qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair or equivalent. Main dealership experience would be advantageous, however we also welcome applications from those who have worked at reputable independent garages, fast fit centres or car supermarkets.

You will need to be comfortable working with others, able to contribute to team cohesion and easily build relationships utilising empathy and self confidence. You will be committed to creating a bespoke and excellent customer experience taking ownership of each issue through to resolution. You will also enjoy generating innovative solutions to problems with a willingness to adopt new ideas rather than just relying on established approaches.

In return we offer a competitive salary, starting from £35,000 (dependent on experience), bonus scheme, 23 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays (rising to 27 days with length of service), an additional day off so that you can celebrate your birthday, contributory pension scheme, staff discount on products and services, cycle to work scheme, employee and customer referral schemes, Healthcare Cash Plan and life assurance (last 3 subject to a qualifying period). You will also be provided with additional training to enhance your skills both at a site level and via manufacturer specific requirements.
