What does a successful Client Programme Manager do? The successful Client Programme Manager plays a pivotal role in the delivery of the FI products and services to our global expanding client base. You will be responsible for structuring a project from the outset, with full responsibility for the day to day commercials, the client relationship and delivery. You will also work with globally dispersed teams often under matrix management.

What you will do:

  • Deliver to agreed time, cost and quality/scope constraints for allocated projects/programmes.
  • Complete standard project deliverables to agreed quality standards for allocated projects/programmes.
  • Establish and develop productive relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within Fiserv and our Client’s organisations.
  • Lead and co-ordinate across all teams involved in the software development life cycle including Specification and design of the solution, Build/Test, Quality Assurance and Implementation.
  • Participate in the evolution of the company’s delivery and development methodology, putting in place the processes needed as we grow.
  • Clearly define, articulate and adapt project approach in response to agreed changes.
  • Effectively manage changes through shifting business priorities, controlling project scope, resources and timing as needed.
  • Leadership and respectful management for the virtual project team.
  • Leadership in commercial negotiations.
  • Spread of best practice across the wider team.
  • Proactive involvement in and leadership of opportunities for continuous improvement.

What you will need to have:

  • A keen, driven and commercially astute individual with experience in managing large scale projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Payments Industry experience.
  • Experience and understanding of Project life-cycle e.g.: scope management, change control and process management.
  • Deep experience running and managing SDLC / Agile delivery.
  • Project and Programme delivery commercials responsibility.
  • Excellent understanding of development and delivery life-cycle gained through experience in a commercial organisation managing delivery to external clients.
  • Strong methodical approach, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to respond to change and challenges as led by the client.
  • Experience developing strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders and working with remotely based development teams.
  • Ability to prioritise, often according to conflicting requirements and timescales, ensuring agreed milestones are achieved.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with Senior Business Managers and developers acquiring a high degree of trust and understanding from both.
  • Experience of Clarity and JIRA desirable.
  • Implementation of governance and working under ambiguity.
  • Strong tracking and control and demonstration of performance and value-add.
  • Recovery management and improving under-performance of matrix managed teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence and communicate to c-suite levels.
  • Experience of CICD, Devops and Cloud deployment would distinguish applicants.
