About the Position

The Europe Analyst supports the Frontierview product, part of FiscalNote's Global Intelligence business. The Analyst will support coverage across markets in Europe, working as part of our Europe team. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the work of FrontierView’s macroeconomic analysis team and to develop further insights into economic, political, and business research in a dynamic region that is on the top of mind for the world’s biggest multinationals. The analyst will have the opportunity to support executives on key strategic and planning decisions, and inform critical business decisions in Europe.

About the Team

The analyst will be part of FrontierView’s global research team. The global research team produces all syndicated content for FrontierView’s client base of several thousand senior executives at multinational organizations. The team combines regional knowledge, macroeconomic and political insights, and business acumen to provide impactful analysis, forecasts, and executional advice for a senior executive audience. They work in close collaboration with the commercial team in supporting FrontierView’s growth strategy and ongoing client relationships.

About You

Qualified individuals with a passion for informing the decisions of senior corporate executives are strongly encouraged to apply. The position will offer the analyst an opportunity to obtain a significant ownership of the regional view and will expose them to the dynamic interaction of political, macroeconomic, and business trends that shape multinational organizations’ decision-making processes. The role requires a good amount of flexibility and allows for the development of a solid perspective and understanding of the Europe region. The analyst will conduct ongoing research and continuous market coverage of FrontierView’s European portfolio, and will conduct macroeconomic, business, political analysis, and will produce macroeconomic forecasts for a select set of markets. They will receive coaching, feedback, and support as part of our collaborative team culture. They will also be expected to create, maintain, and pressure test views on major issues relating to their markets, and present FrontierView’s outlook to senior executives at large multinational organizations.

  • Monitoring and analyzing economic, political, and business trends
  • Forecasting macroeconomic indicators and ongoing economic analysis
  • Producing content on industry and consumer trends across key European markets
  • Writing research deliverables that are concise and impactful for a senior executive audience
  • Delivering research presentations to senior executive clients

What Sets You Apart

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Regional Studies, or International relations. A master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory for the role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of macroeconomics through prior experience or relevant coursework
  • Ability to combine quantitative and qualitative insights, and present the analysis in a comprehensive, but succinct manner
  • Appreciation of economic impact and their direct impact on businesses in the European context is a strong advantage
  • Demonstrated knowledge of European policy and economic issues
  • Ability to work with large datasets, ability to conduct statistical analyses is a strong plus
  • Strong ability to combine quantitative and qualitative insights to produce actionable content
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral. Another European language is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Experience in managing multiple projects at once; excellent time and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to cover a variety of topics and issues, including unfamiliar ones
  • Robust interpersonal, communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
  • A team-oriented mindset
